Laboratory and equipments

The LabS platform is located in Building C2 on the main campus of the Université de Sherbrooke.

It is centered around an infrastructure consisting of two large laboratories with a total area of 1,300 m² (14,000 ft²).

Each of the two laboratories includes:

• An overhead crane with a 15-ton capacity;
• A high-capacity test floor covering 170 m² (1,830 ft²);
• Large reaction walls (8 m wide) with heights of 6 m and 12 m.

These facilities are used to accommodate loading systems designed for full-scale testing of specimens (for example: walls, columns, beams, truss structures, various metallic components, etc.).

The laboratory also has specialized equipment and expertise for in-situ instrumentation of civil engineering structures.
